Control Panel Design

Control Panel Design & Fabrication in Cebu, Philippines

InstruByte designs, fabricates, tests, and commissions industrial control panels from Cebu City for plants across the Philippines — PLC panels, marshalling panels, remote I/O panels, and motor control panels built to survive the environment they are installed in.

A control panel is the part of an automation system that maintenance staff live with for the next fifteen years. Panels that are laid out carelessly, labelled inconsistently, or built with mismatched components cost far more in troubleshooting time than they ever saved during fabrication. We build panels to be worked on.

Panel types we build

PLC panels

Controller, power supply, I/O modules, and network hardware assembled with the segregation and access needed for practical maintenance.

Marshalling panels

Field cable termination and cross-wiring to the control system, arranged so loop tracing is straightforward rather than archaeological.

Remote I/O panels

Distributed I/O close to the process, linked back to the main controller over Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, or EtherNet/IP.

Motor control panels

Starters, contactors, protection devices, and variable frequency drives with the control circuitry for local and remote operation.

What goes into the design

Components we build with

We specify from established manufacturers so replacement parts stay available through the panel's service life:

From drawing to commissioned panel

  1. Scope and control philosophy

We confirm the I/O count, control functions, power requirements, and installed environment before any component is specified.

  2. Schematic design and layout

Power and control schematics, panel layout, terminal schedules, and bill of materials issued for your review and approval.

  3. Fabrication and wiring

Enclosure preparation, component mounting, wiring, ferruling, and labelling against the approved drawings.

  4. Testing

Point-to-point wiring verification, continuity and insulation resistance checks, and functional testing of control circuits. Panels carrying PLC or SCADA logic also go through factory acceptance testing with simulated I/O.

  5. Delivery and site installation support

Installation support, field cable termination, and loop checking against the instrument schedule.

  6. Site acceptance testing and commissioning

Functional verification against the live process, tuning, operator familiarization, and as-built documentation handover.

Electrical testing capability

Panel and switchgear work is backed by our own calibrated test equipment, so verification does not depend on a third party's schedule:

Frequently asked questions

What types of control panels do you build?

PLC panels, marshalling panels, remote I/O panels, and motor control panels, including the power distribution and control circuitry inside them.

Do you design the panel or only fabricate to our drawings?

Either. We can take a project from control philosophy through schematic design, layout, and fabrication, or build and test to drawings your team has already produced.

Is the panel tested before delivery?

Yes. Panels go through point-to-point wiring verification, insulation and continuity checks, and functional testing. Where the panel carries PLC or SCADA logic, factory acceptance testing with simulated I/O is run before shipment.

Do you install and commission the panel on site?

Yes. We provide site installation support, loop checking, site acceptance testing, and commissioning, along with troubleshooting and remote technical assistance afterward.

Need a control panel designed or built?

Send us the I/O count, control functions, and where the panel will be installed — we will scope it and come back with a quotation.
